Terms of service
These Terms govern your use of shopvelvet.co and any order placed with VELVET MUSE Pty Ltd (ABN 39 693 689 735), trading as VELVET ("VELVET", "we", "us"). By using this site or placing an order, you agree to them.
1. ABOUT VELVET
VELVET MUSE Pty Ltd is the seller of record for all products on shopvelvet.co, and the manufacturer and importer of those products for the purposes of the Australian Consumer Law. Contact: service@shopvelvet.co.
2. PRODUCTS
VELVET sells cotton towels woven in Italy, and gift cards. Descriptions, images and colours are as accurate as we can make them. Slight variation, including the natural variation of woven cotton, should be expected and is not a fault.
3. PRE-ORDERS AND PAYMENT
Pieces from the first weaving are sold on pre-order. Full payment is taken at checkout, ahead of production and dispatch. All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies.
We give an estimated dispatch window for pre-orders, currently 8 to 12 December 2026, in good faith and based on our production and freight planning. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date. If we materially fail to deliver within a reasonable time of that estimate, the consumer guarantees described in our Refund and Returns Policy apply, including your right to a refund. You may cancel a pre-order for any reason, for a full refund, at any time before dispatch.
4. PRICING
The price shown at checkout is the price you pay, and it does not change once your order is placed.
5. GIFT CARDS
Gift cards are issued in Australian dollars, redeemable on shopvelvet.co, and valid for at least three years from the date of purchase. They cannot be redeemed for cash and, to the extent permitted by law, are non-refundable. Lost or stolen gift card codes cannot be replaced unless the law requires it.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The V monogram is a registered trade mark of VELVET MUSE Pty Ltd (Australian Trade Mark No. 2589586). VELVET and its associated logos are trade marks of VELVET MUSE Pty Ltd. All content on this site, including text, images, design and pattern artwork, is owned by or licensed to VELVET MUSE Pty Ltd and protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce, copy or commercially exploit any of it without our written consent.
7. CONSUMER GUARANTEES
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where our liability for breach of a non-excludable guarantee can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to replacing or repairing the goods, or supplying equivalent goods.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, VELVET is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or your order. This clause does not limit any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. ACCEPTABLE USE
You must not use this site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that could damage, disable or impair it. We may suspend or cancel an order we reasonably suspect involves fraud or abuse of our systems.
10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect when you place an order applies to that order. The current version is always posted on this page.
11. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
