Composition

100% low-twist ring-spun cotton, woven as a single cloth with two faces: a cut-pile face for softness, a loop-pile reverse for drying. The pattern is structural, carried in the weave, visible on both sides, permanent. Dyed deep, not surface-applied. Woven, cut and finished at our family mill in northern Italy.

First weaving. Ships 8 to 12 December, in limited numbers. We ship Australia wide. Members of our email list ship complimentary on Australian orders over A$350: use the email you joined with at checkout. Cancel any pre-order for a full refund any time before dispatch, and return unused, unwashed towels in their box within 14 days of delivery.

Care

Wash before first use. New towels carry finishing from the loom, and the cloth reaches its full thirst after the first wash or two. Machine wash warm (40°), no fabric softener. Line dry or tumble low. The towel will soften every year you own it.

The colourway

UndergrowthForest green

A deep green with the light kept in it. The colour is dyed into the yarn before weaving, so it sits inside the cloth and stays there through every wash. One colourway for the first weaving. Coldfire, a blue set against rust, follows in 2027.
